Blogging

This is only the second time I have created a blog. I created one this summer during an Intel training. Therefore, I have never created one simply for pleasure. I feel this would be a great way to release stress and get things off my mind. I have always preferred writing over speaking.

I have tried blogging in the classroom, specifically when I co-taught a Read 180 class. Students really loved the idea and would often ask when they could go to the computer lab to blog. I like the idea of using a blog to help those students like me get their views and opinions to the rest of the class.

Google Account - Thing 1

I have used a Google account for many years now. I love the tools available through Google. Each of my students use Google accounts as well. I even performed identify theft by creating Google accounts under the persona of WWE wrestler Kane and comedian/singer Ray Stevens to engage my very special students. I recently took a WV Learns course and was able to explore in detail many of its features, including Google Sites and Google Calendar.

I Google everything and I mean EVERYTHING. My students always seem to have the strangest question they need answered (and so do I). I always say that's an interesting question, let's Google it.
